Bouncing long 88’s left and right, while deleting them at range. However, in the rare few cases that the stars align and everything comes together, it’s such a fun tank to play. And while your armor is decent, it will not hold up against most guns at close range if you don’t angle (which you can’t do against more than 2 opponents). Or your team is really bad and leave you on your own to defend against 3 Panthers, a Tiger and an R3 T20 that’s trying to flank you. 9/10 times one of two things will happen:Įither your team is really good and will kill and cap everything before you can even get close, so you’ll just drive around the entire match doing nothing. In my experience it’s kind of in the same boat as the Maus. However, once in position it can do some wonderful work with its APDS rounds.

It’s annoying to get it into position because you’re so slow. The gun is still good enough that big maps like Maginot Line is basically shooting fish in a barrel when you can UFP Panthers across the map (or almost, anyway), just need to watch for Waffentragers or PT76's.

Yes, the Charioteer has a better gun at a lower BR, but that armor on the Black Prince lets you march straight to the enemy point and hold the fort by yourself in broad daylight. 6.7 is a little painful with the RU251, but with how many people are playing their 5.3 Tiger's, 6.7 games have been pretty rare. Angle a bit, and most every sub-6.0 tank has a hard time penetrating (biggest outliers are the PT76 with HEAT-FS and the Waffenträger), and even some 6.3's will still struggle (Tiger 2's are easy food through the turret cheeks for your APDS). Also not having APHE one-shotting everything makes it easy to farm assists. Soooo many brain-dead Jumbo, Panther, and Tiger players that think armor will save them in a game mode that gives you a bloody penetration go/no-go indicator makes for easy kills. It's been my go-to grinder for this WINTER event in GFAB.

Plus it's always fun to bounce KT shots from wehraboos who never had to learn how to aim and imagining the furious forum post they are drafting about how the BP should be 9.0, the KT should get APFSDS, and the KT should be reduce to 4.3. But it provides the "I am a god of death, I shall grind all beneath me!" experiences every so often. If you don't have patience, haven't play WoT and haven't learnt to angle your armour, you won't like it.
#WAR THUNDER BLACK PRINCE FULL#
I once managed to drive it between my cap and the enemy cap on Normandy in a full downtier, I shot everything on the way diving through open fields, got shot at a bunch, drove it all the way back to stop and recap our point shooting everything and getting shot at, and then drove it all the way back getting shot at and shooting everything to capture the base for the win. You get to a choke point and you're like "This is my point now, and I am going to move, and none of you can do anything about it." You won't get anywhere fast but when you do, you can change a battle. In an uptier, troll bounces and bounces from proper armour angling vs "I just point and click and expect stuff to die" wehraboos, unless you come up against HEAT.
