The BMaster is also less bass-heavy at higher volumes, which is a good thing imo and more importantly, it overdrives pretty easy! and we all know a cranked tweed amp is a tone to die for. also, the controls are much more effective, and you can really shape your sound, unlike with the bassman.

its bigger brother still holds its own due to 45 watts and 4 speakers, but it needs volume to really shine, while you can enjoy a full, 3D clean on the BMaster without making the windows rattle. it's got that snappy, mids-heavy clean tone that i just adore. well, i remembered correctly about the bassman: a total beast. bassman '59 ltd and bandmaster '57 were standing there side by side, so i had the chance to make an a/b comparison. back to the local store, me and my mosrite mark II. but i'm afraid i'm a one channel amp guy, after all.īut i digress. i'm starting to think that you can't have an amp that sounds great clean AND has a great dirty channel. I've owned two '59 bassman ltd's in the past, and i sold them because i was trying to get rid of dirt pedals, i wanted to get distortion directly outta the amp.

may very well be the best amp i've ever played. i've tried it at a local store and the sound was so nice, the controls so effective and interactive.
